GRE EXAMINATION
WHAT IS GRE EXAMINATION
- The GRE (Graduate Record Examination) is a standardized test used for admissions to graduate and business school programs. It assesses verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, analytical writing, and critical thinking skills. The GRE General Test is composed of three sections: Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Analytical Writing. The Verbal Reasoning section evaluates vocabulary, reading comprehension, and critical reasoning abilities. The Quantitative Reasoning section measures mathematical skills and problem-solving abilities. The Analytical Writing section assesses the test taker's ability to analyze complex issues and present a coherent argument.
- GRE scores are widely accepted by graduate programs worldwide. They are used as a common benchmark to evaluate applicants' readiness for advanced study. The Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning sections are scored on a scale of 130-170, while the Analytical Writing section is scored on a scale of 0-6. Test takers can prepare for the GRE by familiarizing themselves with the test format, practicing with sample questions, and strengthening their verbal, quantitative, and writing skills.
