SAT EXAMINATION
WHAT IS SAT EXAMINATION
- The SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test) examination is a standardized test widely used for college admissions in the United States. It measures a student's readiness for college-level education and assesses their knowledge and skills in reading, writing, and math. The SAT consists of two main sections: Evidence-Based Reading and Writing (EBRW) and Math.
- The EBRW section includes reading comprehension passages, vocabulary questions, and grammar and writing tasks. The Math section covers a range of topics, including algebra, geometry, and data analysis. There is also an optional Essay section, which some colleges may require.
- The SAT is scored on a scale of 400 to 1600, with separate scores for each section. It is recommended for students to prepare for the SAT by familiarizing themselves with the test format, practicing with sample questions, and reviewing relevant content. Many colleges and universities in the United States accept SAT scores as part of their admissions process, and a strong SAT score can enhance a student's chances of getting into their desired institution.
